I am such a nerd. I just happened to manifest into a bombshell of a black girl at some point throughout my many awkward years of living. When I was younger i used to make lists of things I really wanted and sort of needed and being sexy was always at the top of this list. You can decide for yourself if my first wish has come true on your own time. Today I tell a tale of a more recent wish come true.

You know those women who wear holiday sweaters and loves to thrift shop and make their children's costumes and bake and shit. It's disgusting, everything in their living space is organized with labels and shit. They cook, they clean, they craft and they are really fit and sexy. These are the type of people who are great with children and their own say please and thank you and they make their gifts and you can't even tell.These kind of folks seem to really annoy people for some reason. I don't get it? What's with the consistent ratchet obsession right now? ANYWAY, I was telling you about those Martha Stewart type women who like to cook from scratch(not the box).

I hope you all had a great holiday because I definitely did and I will catch you up little by little on just what went on after i handle a little business ranting and a bit of online business. First, I apologize for being a crappy blogger and not giving my fashion and writing responsibilities enough attention. After speaking with a good friend of mine who always makes me feel better about her and myself I realized I have a great gift of great taste and talent and I am completely depriving my online community of that flair and originality. Well the attention my blog deserves has arrived once again. Looking back on hires gone bad and unused photos from 2010 i have realized just how much i have not shared about last year and how much seriously needs to change. This past year would have made a great book let alone a series of a bunch of more fun blog posts.I will do better. The Solution: Look forward to 2011 x iZ...by A x I AM Style.Second, my Etsy shop is empty. i will change that. i am doing better about being more social. No need for New Year’s Resolutions I am already doing better at what i need to do better at.People should have more self love in 2011. it could do us all some good.

I love this spread!!! i wish my birds were this well behaved because they definitely have the looks,but I feel just a little like the FASHION GODS are telling me i am going in the right direction just simply because just yesterday i bought a skirt that has this look its adorable and I love all of the chunky jewelry it looks just like my “very fancy” Gucci shoe box full of jewelry was raided, it just spoke to me I guess...

I love living in Los Angeles and I love traveling so I can get away from los Angeles even more. Being literally from LA and regularly hanging around Angelenos also from LA can sometimes make you forget haw fun it is to be young in this city where people from all over the world travel to trash and act crazy all on a mission to be a big famous ________________ (fill in the blank). The one thing LA is lacking in it’s enviroment is the big money fancy fashion industry New York Fashion Week harbors,but I have a vision we will come up with our own equivalent one day. it seems as if this city is always getting dissed as not being couture enough to hold it’s ground in the fashion world. I understand the fact we don’t particularly have the best since of community in our city as it is filled with an overflow of “haters”, but I believe love and the arts always prevail as they breed knowledge and success. So with that being said I am going to continue to Shop LA and try to support and help our fashion scene evolve...









...I hope we can get some help as it’s not an easy task. But it is summer and that’s when we shine the brightest. Perhaps our solution is to have our fashion week during the Summer and Fall. now I am babbling. The point of this post was to show you some pics from our shopping trips to discover shops to be featured in iZ Mag.

the facts are these...

... it is currently raining where I am which i both love and hate. i love that it gives me an excuse to stay home and search the web most of the day and put up a post. i hate the fact i have errands to run still and i have to head back to LA and no one really likes traveling in the rain. i ran across this first picture of the spring summer 2010 Gucci ad campaign and almost choked on air because i absolutely have to have these shoes. I continued my research into the Gucci ad campaign and ran across a few other cool accessories and pieces in the other pictures that follow the piece of art work that displays the shoes sent from the universe made just for me. We will meet someday soon.Until then...

I know most stylists in the industry totally geek off all or most of the awards shows, but I cant say I particularly share the same desire to trash or bash other stylists work... i am not saying that is everyone. if this is not how you feel please ignore the previous comment i was venting...anyway as i was saying...

Here are the facts:
i love the grammys. it's changed my life. it's the true mash when celebrity meets fashion meets music having a shot of vodka or a glass of moet with individuality. the music crowd can party. it's like a lets get drunk for a reason and they give awards and stuff too.i dont particularly wish to win a grammy but watching friends when is always a joy. musicians like clothes its true. i love musicians who love clothes and music its my cryptonite. i love too low necklines.i love long curvy silhouettes. i love glamour. i love being in spaces with a collective of individualistic artists who like being just that. i love paying attention to the patron who took the time out to get dressed and made an effort to not look like they made an effort when they got dressed that day.its what i like what can i say people being a canvas for fashion and i like hanging out in the eye of the celebration when style and music celebrate each other. celebrations rock. i can be a bit shallow at times. sometimes im inspired by shallow people.im not sure if i should wear lace, fur, or just wear underwear and high shoes to this event. it's my ticket. could be yours to. will you be seen there. who are you going to be sitting next to...

I just received the most fabulous coat! It’s all black floor length and is going to look amazing with heels. I was considering going out with the uber trendy lingerie red slip and the black faux fur coat that looks like I massacred a few big black teddy bears to make. It even has a hood. It’s perfect for clubbing in these rainy Los Angeles nights. I have to wear more than a slip it’s just too damn cold for all that slut factor. No offense to the ladies I see working that as their club uniform. smh on the sly. I will hopefully have pics from this weekend to be able to show off my new coat. All I need is a coffee and big slouchy bag and I am on my way to being your typical industry socialite with the diva image. I have worn the coat out twice now and people re act like I am carrying around a see through briefcase with cash or they make a snotty whitney houston reference. Mostly people are just envious It is a fabulous coat. I pulled these pics from the archives. They are definitely my style inspiration for this week. Well these and all the divas who donned fabulous faux fur before me. I hope it’s cold enough to wear this gift for Le Mirrors and Grammy weekend! Thanks forever Gaila!

It takes time to make time to run a fashion business... then it takes time to organize the business so it takes less time... it all takes a very intricate balance saying how my passion for my art and hobby aren't bringing in millions at the moment... but one day it will... i was summoned with a complaint on my Etsy shop for one of my products taking to long... it did not however take too long as it was in the means of the terms it has not been 4 weeks yet... still it made me think maybe i do need to spend more time with my fashion not that i dont slave hours over it already but now i have decided to make out a schedule... yes a real schedule... so i bought a new planner... i am now going back to being a completely organized and responsible over achiever for a little while... i have to figure out how i am going to schedule all of the partying... stay tuned... and i am sorry sad consumer for any inconvenience this caused.
